Tim Yunker and Alex Buxton are Colorado Natives. They attended the same high school, but rarely associated with each other… Until 2008. Tim Yunker and Alex Buxton united to create a sound that can only be described as unique. The two performed throughout Colorado and recorded the album “Duck and Cover” in late 2009. It soon became obvious that the band wouldn’t proceed much further without a drummer. Tim received an e-mail one day from Chris Winslow who claimed to know all of the duo’s songs and was interested in the position. He’s been the Sound Junkie drummer ever since. Coming from New Hampshire, Chris brought a powerful mix of east coast percussion to the project . Being an incredibly versatile drummer, Chris conceived a style all his own that can only apply to the Sound Junkie mission. The ever-expanding project aims to bring something entirely new to the entertainment industry, both audibly and psychologically. The new al bum “Microphones Don’t Lie” has been recorded and will soon be released. Microphones do not lie, so pick up the album and see what they picked up.
