Roots & Fire is inspired to make music that people can draw strength and happiness from. In the past few years, they have toured extensively, and taking breaks in between to record. Roots & Fire has been working hard in the studio to get that classic roots and dub sound loved worldwide. In its raw state, the music is strong and vital…pure love and consciousness. Over the years, they have shared the stage with many great artists, including: The Meditations, Damien Marley, Burning Spear, and Israel Vibration. Most recently Roots and Fire backed reggae and dancehall artist Jr. Toots, the son of legendary singer Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals… The Group is Ryan ‘Spin’ Spinharney on keyboards, guitar and vocals, Donny ‘Don Dada’B.on Drums, Derek ‘River’ Jordan on bass (who is also the bassie for the Itals), Leon ‘Riffico’ Arguelo on guitar and Virgin Islands singer Nubydan on lead vocals. The group is also known to bring percussion, a horn section, some lighting and projection for bigger shows. Currently, they are touring in the Rocky Mountain region refining their dub/trance/dance sound. Roots & Fire is currently working in the studio(Crucible studio… Eldorado Springs, CO) on two full length albums, to be released in 2009. Select Cuts Volume 1 and 2. Vol.1 is already pre released!!
