Bio
From the sleepy sprawl of America’s Mile-High City comes Dualistics, a Denver-based foursome whose melodic rock songs and soaring vocals resonate with sprawling tapestries and tales of hopefulness and heartache.
In Summer 2009 Tyler Despres (guitar, vocals) and Charley Hine (guitar, vocals) departed from their full time jobs in order to play music. The band had just inherited new drummer Nate Barnes and the material was “just that good”. Originally formed in 2006 by Jimmy Stofer (bass, vocals), Dualistics earned a loyal grassroots following through impressive area gigs and the support of local radio.
“Dualistics emotive but sophisticated style makes them the perfect candidates for Denver’s next breakout act. Dualistics stand a chance of achieving a significant national popularity…”
Billy Thieme – Denver Post
“Listening to Dualistics’ new self-titled EP, it’s evident that the band is truly coming into its own. The material is strong, the sound is polished, and confidence positively oozes out of the speakers.”
Cory Casciato – Westword magazine
“…the diminutive collection – less than thirty minutes long – is jam-packed with crunchy guitars, catchy-as-a-coldsore melodies and some impressive instrumentalism.”
Eryc Eyl – Westword magazine
