Brooklyn’s Bluebird hatched in a windowless bushwick basement under 8-bit punk drummer/visual artist Jeremy Wolfe Kivett and multi-instrumental/video surgeon Bradley Burnette Matthews. As Bluebird, the two use live instrumentation and technology to create a kinetic clash of beautifully synchronized video images and melodic beat heavy instrumental bangers. Their sound falls in the same territory as some of Cornelius’ more upbeat lane changers with flashes of Girl Talk’s miraculous mash-up string alongs.
