Bio
After getting home to Los Angeles from the 30-city Cinemetropolis Tour in the Fall of 2011, Bambu decided to concentrate the beginning of 2012 on completing the album, …one rifle per family. After the successful independent release of the album and an equally successful independent tour that covered the West Coast, New York, Philadelphia, Honolulu and Manila, Bambu took some time to reconstruct a brand new live set and he’s ready to hit the stage at one of Los Angeles’ preeminent concert venues, The Echo. Don’t miss this opportunity to see Bambu’s high-energy, interactive performance complete with social justice-driven lyrics and room shaking beats!
The lineup for April 12th’s stage at The Echo promises you’ll be nodding your head and sounding off to some of Southern California’s rawest lyricists. Double Dosage (LA), Odessa Kane (SD) and Kixxie Siete (Hawthorne) pack the bill with enough raw lyricism to keep you sounding off until the lights come on!
Double Dosage’s hard work and dedication have raised their profile as a West Coast duo to watch! With nods from Power106 and a list of live shows under their belt, Double Dosage will surely leave their stamp on that stage.
Odessa Kane’s “Cuetes & Balisongs” EP dropped and instantly took off. A true underground emcee and community organizer, Odessa Kane is prepared to show Los Angeles that Southeast San Diego’s Hip Hop scene can thump with the best of them. Bambu says Odessa is, “inspirational in his writing… (his) ability to be passionate on a record is crazy.”
If you’ve paid attention to the Hip Hop community in the South Bay recently, then you’ve probably already caught wind of the Hawthorne spitter, Kixxie Siete. Fresh off Bambu’s Rent Money Tour and the release of the highly reviewed collaboration project with Bambeeno, 7AM, Kixxie’s been hard at work locked in a studio getting ready to drop an avalanche of music for 2013. But before that, he hits the stage at The Echo with the Yacht Klub in tow!
